Arlene H. (Leeman) Wallace

Damariscotta- Arlene H. Wallace, 92, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

     She was born in Bath on June 6, 1926, a daughter of Hollis L. and Ruth (Hayward) Leeman.

     She graduated from Morse High School.  She was employed by the Lincoln Home in Newcastle for 17 years.

     She was a member of the Woolwich Grange and Woolwich- Wiscasset Baptist Church.

     She enjoyed cake decorating, baking, sewing and knitting.

     She is survived by her longtime companion, Roger Mank of Waldoboro, three sons, Leonard Grover and his wife Jo of Seattle, WA, Stephen Grover and his wife Gail of Splendora, TX and Brian Grover and his wife Debbie of Pittston, three daughters, Linda Hoff of Westport, NY, Janet Spinney of Wiscasset and Nancy Ransom and her husband Jay of East Barre, VT, one brother, Ed Leeman of Bingham, three sisters, Esther Hauck and her husband John of Woolwich, Margaret Hodgdon of Wiscasset and Mary King and her husband Bob of Woolwich, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

     She was predeceased by two daughters, Sarah Grover in 1957 and Sharon Lash in 2017, three brothers, Bill Leeman, Roland Leeman and Hollis Leeman Jr. and one sister, Marilyn Wing.

     A celebration of life will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church, Route 1, Woolwich.  A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at Grover Cemetery in Woolwich. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cove’s Edge Activity Fund, 29 Schooner Street, Damariscotta, 04543.
