Connie Dalton Obituary

Wiscasset- Connie Ida Dalton, 75, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at The Woodlands in Rockland.

She was born in Camden on March 12, 1944, a daughter of Walter A. McLeod and Sylvia Mae Genthner McLeod.

After graduating from Wiscasset High School in 1962 she married William “Wayne” Dalton. They resided in Wiscasset where she was employed by various restaurants. After the birth of their two sons, Connie became a long time employee of the Wiscasset School system.

She enjoyed painting and crafts like caning chairs and crocheting. She was also an avid collector of post cards and record albums. She especially enjoyed the children at school and spending time reading and talking with them.

She is survived by two sons, William Wayne Dalton Jr. and his wife Genny of Austin, Texas and Gregory Allen Dalton and his partner Kathy Grover Sherman of Wiscasset, one brother, Edward McLeod and his wife Sue of Brunswick, one special niece, Terri Fisk of Wiscasset, one granddaughter, Ione Dalton and many beloved nieces and nephews.

  A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 29 at the Wiscasset Community Center. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
