Nicholas Panarese Obituary

Nicholas (“Nick”) Daniel Panarese of Wiscasset passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the age of 27.

Nick was born in Portland, Maine on January 26, 1991, a son of Jennifer F. DiSanto.

Nick grew up in the Lincoln County community and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 2010.  He worked at Ports of Italy restaurant in Boothbay Harbor starting at the age of 16 where he grew into a talented sous chef. He also worked at Greencare Landscape Management as an Equipment Operator/Laborer plowing the streets of Portland’s Old Port.

Nick is dearly loved by all who knew him.  His unique sense of humor and ability to bring smiles to those around him will be fondly remembered. He was dependable, kind and always willing to lend a helping hand.  When he wasn’t working, Nick enjoyed cruising around in his truck with his dog, Bo (aka his “baby”) and watching New England sports teams dominate.

Nick is survived by his mother, Jennifer DiSanto of Phippsburg, his siblings, Nathan Panarese of Orono, Cassandra and her husband Scott Williams of Fort Riley, Kansas, Angela and her husband Shaun O’Malley and their son Archer of Dedham, Massachusetts, and his loyal and beloved boxer-lab, Bo and Warren and Sarah Hewes.

A celebration of Nick’s life took place in Boothbay Harbor on Monday, January 7th. Nick’s family would like to thank friends, family and the community for all the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time.
