Corey Johnson Obituary

Topsham - Corey D. Johnson, 38, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Born in Augusta on March 28, 1986, he was the son of Keven Andrews and Kandis M. Johnson. Corey graduated from Cony High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband to Amanda A. Gosselin, whom he married on October 1, 2011, and a devoted father to their two young children, Avery and Maddox.

Corey’s love for those close to him knew no bounds. An incredibly loving and present husband and father, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Whether cheering on the Red Sox or Patriots, enjoying a fun date night with Amanda, working on his prized vehicle, or simply having a quiet game night at home with the kids, Corey always found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He displayed his hardworking nature in his role as a dependable freight delivery driver at BSP, where he was respected by those who worked with him.

Corey’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of many. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda, his daughter Avery, and his son Maddox. He also leaves behind his mother, Kandis Johnson and her husband Bob of Gardiner; his father, Kevin Andrews of West Gardiner; his brother, Bobby Johnson and his wife Paige of Manchester; and his in-laws, Patrick Gosselin and his wife Stacy of Norridgewock, and Melissa Miller and her fiancé Ross Gilchrist of Lewiston. Corey was a cherished brother-in-law to Tyler Gosselin and his wife Emily of Winthrop, and Alex Gosselin and his wife Brooke of Auburn, as well as a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Corey’s infectious smile, warm heart, and unwavering kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. The bond Corey shared with his children ensures that his memory will always be with them, and with all who loved him.

There will be no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Corey D. Johnson Memorial Fund (donations will be used for his children’s future), donations addressed to Amanda Johnson - CPort Credit Union: 399 Western Ave, Augusta, ME 04330.
