He was born in Augusta on December 24, 1957, a son of Robert L. and Hermance (Godbout) Douin. He grew up in Starks and North Anson. He graduated from Carrabec High School in 1976.  He entered the United States Navy, serving during Desert Storm and retiring after 22 years in 2000.  He remained on the fleet reserve until 2009, completing 30 years in the Navy.  On November 21, 1981 he married Terri-Lynn Brown. He was a strong man devoted to his family. Kindhearted, compassionate, witty, wise, handy, hardworking, and a friend to many. He loved the New England Patriots, hunting, fishing and Barbecue’s. He never turned down a game of horseshoes, pool, a beer, candy or ice cream.  He skydived twice, one of which was with his son.  He was always ready with a song or a joke.  Forever in our hearts until we meet again in heaven.  We love you.
