Ruth T. Raynes

Auburn – Ruth T. Raynes, 93, formerly of Bath, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Odd Fellow’s & Rebekah’s Home of Maine in Auburn.

     She was born in Bath on February 11, 1931, a daughter of Andrew D. and Dorothy (Potter) Raynes Sr.  Ruth graduated from Morse High School in the Class of 1949.  She was employed at Bath Iron Works as a clerk for many years.  She was later employed for local Bath families as a housekeeper.  In 1988 she moved to Portland.

     She was a member of the Bath Nazareen Church where she was active in youth groups and was a Sunday School teacher.  While living in Auburn she was a member of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene.

     She was predeceased by one brother, Paul E. Raynes, one sister, Phyllis H. Frye.

     Ruth is survived by one brother, Andrew D. Raynes Jr. and his wife Lois of Auburn, 7 nieces and nephews.
